Mesh Stillages — common questions
What's the difference between a mesh stillage and a sheeted stillage?
A mesh stillage has open welded steel panels, so air flows through the load, water drains away and you can see stock levels without opening it. A sheeted stillage swaps those panels for solid steel sides that enclose goods against dust, weather and prying eyes. Choose mesh for ventilation, visibility and lighter handling; choose sheeted when contents need full cover.
What sizes and access options do your mesh stillages come in?
Standard footprints run from 900 x 600 up to 2500 x 1250, with tall open-fronted models reaching 2400 x 1200 x 2900 for bulky, lightweight loads. Access configurations include fixed frame, open front, open side, half-drop front and fully removable front, so you can match the opening to how your team loads and picks.
Can mesh stillages be lifted by crane?
Most models in this range are built for forklift handling and safe stacking. The Liftable Mesh Stillage is load-tested for overhead handling as well. If you specifically need crane-lifting with certified, LOLER-rated lifting points, see our Certified Lifting Stillages range, which is designed and rated for that purpose.
Are mesh stillages stackable, and what are they used for?
Yes. Every mesh stillage in the range is designed to stack, freeing floor space when loaded and nesting when empty. They are used across construction, manufacturing, textiles, agriculture and warehouse logistics to store and move components, offcuts and finished parts by forklift or crane.
