IBC Frames

Lowe's IBC frames are steel storage and handling structures built to hold, stack and move intermediate bulk containers and drums across industrial sites. The range is built around 1,000-litre IBC tanks and accompanying drums, and is specified by operations that handle liquids under strict controls — food processing, chemical manufacturing, fertiliser, petrochemical, dairy, defence and nuclear.

Questions

IBC Frames — common questions

Which IBC sizes and container types do your frames fit?

The range is built around standard 1,000-litre IBC tanks, with the twin rack holding two IBCs in a single footprint, plus a combined rack and drum-shelving unit for storing drums alongside IBCs. Because every frame is made to order, we can size to your specific container footprint.

Can you build an IBC frame to bespoke dimensions or capacity?

Yes. As the UK manufacturer we build in-house, so footprints, shelf heights and the number of containers held can be engineered and load-tested to your specification rather than fixed to an off-the-shelf size.

Can the IBC frames be handled by forklift or crane?

All frames in the range are designed for forklift and crane handling and integrate with automated material-handling systems. The IBC dolly also lets a single container be repositioned manually at floor level.

What finish do the frames come in, and is it suitable for wash-down areas?

Frames are supplied with a smooth, non-corrosive finish suited to repeated handling and demanding environments such as food processing, dairy and chemical storage. Alternative finishes can be specified on made-to-order builds.

More about IBC Frames

Each frame is compatible with forklift and crane handling and automated systems, finished smooth and non-corrosive for repeated wash-down and long-service use. The range spans a mobile IBC dolly for repositioning a single container at floor level, a combined IBC rack with levelled drum shelving, and a twin rack that stores two 1,000-litre IBC tanks in one footprint — with standard sizes from 1200 × 1000mm to 2500 × 1300mm. As the UK manufacturer, Lowe builds every IBC frame in-house, engineered and load-tested to specification, so bespoke sizes, shelf layouts and capacities are made to order.
